Silkroad Publishers Agency
Named after the ancient route that
links East and West, Silkroad Publishers Agency Co.,
Ltd. was set up in 1996 by Jane Vejjajiva
with the idea of bringing the literature of these two
sides of the world together.
At that time, the Thai Parliament passed
a new Copyright Bill which provided international protection
of copyright to all works. Silkroad Publishers Agency
emerged as the first Thai copyright agency and has remained
since then the most reliable and effective agency owned
by a Thai.
We now represent more than 150 publishers
and agents worldwide in the Thai territory, and have
up to date taken care of licensing contracts for more
than 350 titles from foreign languages into Thai, both
fiction and non-fiction. See clients.
We have recently introduced Thai authors
to the international platform by introducing ‘Shades
of Thailand’, a selected collection of modern Thai literature
that deals with the Thai way of living. See authors.
